Kavango Air now has our brand new website up and running, have a look and let us know.
We have now added a GA 8 airvan aircraft to our fleet, this aircraft seats pilot + 7 passengers. Its an awesome plane for scenic flights as well as camp and lodge transfers.
As far as crew goes, we have had a complete new turn over of crew this year (2010). Our Chief Pilot is Rob Eden. We welcomed four new chaps all from South Africa. First was Rory Baxter from Cape Town, then Louis Nell from the Eastern Cape, then Hugo Torr from the Karoo and then last but not least Louis Brink from George in the Western Cape.
Scenic flights still amazes everybody with the true beauty of our area that we fly in. Countless happy passengers enjoy our daily flights. The Okavango Delta is experiencing the biggest flood since 1984, this is the most water we have seen in decades. Come have a look.

The “Season” is upon us, and the we’re looking at updating our website with some awesome pictures. We’re also looking at starting a Facebook group where we welcome our passengers to post photos and stories about their Delta experience with us. The only unfortunate thing is that the pilots are doing what they do best, flying the plane, and not wielding a camera happily snapping away. So we’re asking you; our passengers to kindly send us your photos with your names, the date of the flight and any further comments you’d like to add. Going on a scenic
Kavango Air was established in 2005 by Mark Smith who has been operating aircraft in northern Botswana since 1990. Kavango Air strives to keep safety it’s first priority, punctuality it’s second and also keeping the flight enjoyable at the same time. Based in Maun (Botswana) on the edge of the Okavango Delta, it is ideally positioned for quick scenic flights over the delta, camp transfers to the numerous lodges and camps in the delta and surrounding areas. Kavango Air does air charters to almost anywhere in Southern Africa, and also does medical evacuations. The crew receives extensive training in bush flying techniques, and the pilots have to adhere to the high safety standards instilled by the company.
